Appearance

His gray hair sticks out in wild directions, and his clothes always seem slightly disheveled. His eyes are bright and curious behind thick lenses. • Clothing: Wears academic robes in the library colors, always covered in dust and ink stains. His pockets bulge with notes, bookmarks, and crumbs from meals eaten while reading. A magnifying glass hangs from a chain around his neck. • Distinguishing Marks: Ink stains on his fingers that never quite wash off; his left eyebrow is permanently raised from a lifetime of skeptical expressions.

Backstory
Eliot has spent his entire life in the Imperial Library, starting as a page and rising to become its head. He knows every book in the collection and can find any text in minutes. He's read more than any human should in one lifetime and remembers most of it. He considers the library his true home and its books his family.
Daily Life
Spends his days cataloging new acquisitions, helping scholars find the texts they need, and reading anything he can get his hands on. He rarely leaves the library, sleeping in a small room among the stacks. His meals are eaten while reading, and his conversations are mostly about books.
Story Hooks
- 1 He needs help recovering a stolen rare book
- 2 He's discovered a text that contains dangerous knowledge and needs advice on what to do with it
